Step-by-step Procedure

Step 1
Assessment and marking preoperative

The surgeon analyzes the amount of skin and fat to be removed and made marks on the eyelids to plan the cuts with precision.

Step 2
Surgical intervention

Under local anesthesia (sometimes with sedation), an incision is made in the natural crease of the upper eyelid and/or on the edge of the lower eyelid to remove excess skin and fat pockets.

Step 3
Closing and initial recovery

The incisions are closed with fine sutures. The patient starts your recovery with post-operative care including rest, application of cold, and medical control.

Before the procedure

Avoid the consumption of anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory drugs, alcohol and tobacco at least 7 days before. Performs exams prequirúrgicos indicated by the surgeon and arrives without makeup, creams, or contact lenses the day of the surgery.

After the procedure

Apply cold compresses during the first 48 hours to reduce swelling. Avoid rubbing the eyes, exposed to the sun and to perform physical work for at least a week.
