Mammoplasty
There are patients who, genetically, have small breasts and even alteration of the form given by a high inframammary crease and very wide areola called tuberous breasts. In other patients, the volume is decreased after feedings or massive weight loss. Finally this surgery is useful in patients requiring breast reconstruction either by birth as Syndrome Polland, for mastectomies or for sex changes.
Breast reduction, meanwhile, is a surgical procedure to improve the size and shape of the breasts of women, reducing them by resection of excessive breast tissue. It is a procedure that can be performed from the age of 16, which improves back pain, self-esteem and contour of the chest.
It is a procedure to correct sagging or breast ptosis plus size reduction of the mammary gland. It applies to women with large breasts (hypertrophy) or fallen (ptotic).
The surgery lasts between 3 to 4 hours and is done under general anesthesia. You can do outpatient or inpatient according to each patient.
It is very important to discuss your expectations with the plastic surgeon. Improving the appearance of your breasts requires scars to relocate them in a better position and to be clear about the desired final size.
